Dumper crushes father-son duo to death in J&K’s Kathua

Kathua, May 23, KNT: An overspeeding dumper crushed a father-son duo to death in Kore Punnu village of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The driver fled away from the spot triggering a protest from the locals who raised slogans against the district administration.

One of the Sarpanches who was part of the protest while divulging the information said that an over-speeding dumper hit a motorcycle at 11:30 morning on Wednesday.

The crash resulted in the onspot death of a father-son duo who were residents of Nagari village.

The protesters raised slogans against the district administration, and traffic department. They threatened mass agitation if trucks were further allowed to ply during the day hours.

Meanwhile, Border Police Post Kore Punnu registered a case against the unknown dumper truck driver. [KNT]
