Abolition of pass system at Srinagar Airport: TASK thanks Div Com and Director Tourism

Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK) has thanked Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and Director Tourism for abolishing the pass system for tourist taxi operators at Srinagar International Airport.

“There’s no need for airport passes from now on. Vehicles can go directly to the airport without the need for airport passes,” authorities informed the TASK.

TASK delegation had on 25 April met Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and had presented a memorandum to him requesting to do away with the time-consuming and cumbersome pass system at Srinagar Airport. Taxi drivers used to face a lot of inconveniences because of this pass system.

The meeting with the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir had attended by Haji Zaffar Boktoo, Sheikh Abdul Ahad, Sheikh Bashir, Ashraf Guroo, Maqsood Badayri, Sameer Baktoo and Waseem Goosani.

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Biduri had assured the TASK delegation that the Pass System will be abolished.

TASK body said that they are very grateful to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and Director Tourism for abolishing the pass system for tourist taxi operators at Srinagar International Airport. [KNT]
