Police to take action against 51 persons exfiltrated to Pakistan, Properties of 4 individuals attached in North Kashmir

 

Police have attached the properties of 4 individuals in Handwara who according to the police have been operating from across the border and are militant handlers.

Police said that it has launched a special drive against the absconders and wanted militants and as part of this drive properties of 4 militant handlers who were declared as proclaimed offenders by the orders of the Court and on the orders of the same court their properties were attached by District Police in Handwara.

According to the police these absconders and proclaimed offenders were exfiltrated to Pakistan and are presently there. Since then, they have been continuously involved in handling militants and reviving and spreading militancy in Handwara and other areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said that following the prescribed procedure land measuring ten Marlas at Kralgund belonging to proclaimed offender Mumtaz Ahmad Khwaja son of Mohammad Subhan Khwaja resident of Kralgund, land measuring 16-3/4 Marlas belonging to Lateef Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rehman Bhat resident of Badra Payeen, land measuring 1 Kanal and 2 Marlas at Ashipora belonging to Mushtaq Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Sultan Mir resident of Ashpora and land measuring 01 Kanal at Khaipora belonging to Ghulam Nabi Ganai son of Ghulam Rasool Ganai resident of Khaipora, Qaziabad was attached by the police.

Police said that these militants are also involved in different cases in Police District Handwara and are actively trying to revive and run the militant ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.

Besides these 4 individuals,  police said that 51 persons of Jammu and Kashmir nationals who have been exfiltrated to Pakistan or PaK for illegal arms training and are operating from there have also been declared as proclaimed offenders by the Court. The action is also being contemplated against them under law. [KNT]
