People have no expectations from PM Modi’s visit: PDP
Peoples Democratic Party Tuesday said that the people of Kashmir have no expectations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is visiting Kashmir on 7 March and will address BJP workers at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar.
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Srinagar, PDP spokesperson Suhail Bukhari as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust said that the BJP Government at the Centre maltreated the people of Valley and they don’t expect anything from the Srinagar visit of the current Prime Minister.
He said the present Centre Government in a brazen display of arrogance didn’t treat people well. “This BJP government misbehaved and never listened to the people. People don’t expect anything from the PM and they know it well, BJP does what it intends to do even if that goes against the wishes and aspirations of the people,” Bukhari said.
He said people are angry the way the government has treated them since 2014. “Unlike at the time of Vajpayee’s or Manmohan Singh’s visits to Kashmir, people are not upbeat this time. They are disinterested and don’t expect anything,” Suhail Bukhari said. [KNT]
