Govt de-recognizes a private school in central Kashmir’s Budgam

In the wake of alleged non-cooperation, the Government has de-recognized a private school in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Directorate of School Education Kashmir has issued a formal order stating that the recognition order issued in favour of ‘Foundation World School’ located at Mammat village of Budgam has been withdrawn.

The school was recognized in 2021 by the Directorate of School Education.

The Directorate of School Education has maintained that the school management does not implement the instructions issued by competent authorities from time to time, thus reflecting their anarchist and rebellious attitude.

An enquiry committee had been constituted to re-view the ‘recoginition’ of the school. Both Chief Education Officer Budgam and Principal BHSS Budgam observed that  the said school has violated all the norms and thus should face action.

The enquiry committee members had approached the School Management to ascertain the factual position, but the Management kept the enquiry officers along with CEO Budgam waiting for the whole day in February this year. Further, the concerned school management provided documents and materials not up to the mark and without a seal and signature due to which the Committee could not ascertain the factual position owing to the non-cooperation of the School Management.
