In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, a bear critically injured a man in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Official sources said that a wild bear who had entered into Panar village of Bandipora mauled a man identified as Nazir Ahmad Bania son of Babu Bania, a resident of the same hamlet.

The victim was somehow rescued by locals and shifted to District Hospital Banipora with critical injuries.

A couple of days ago a leopard had mauled a little girl to death in North Kashmir’s Uri. (KNT)
