Doctors at Paras Gurgaon successfully operated septuagenarian Paralytic patient

 Doctors at Paras Hospital in Gurgaon successfully performed Carotid Angioplasty and stenting of a septuagenarian male patient who eventually recovered and has been doing fine.

Divulging information about it, Hospital authorities said that it was a case of hypertension and diabetes involving a 70-year-old male patient.

The case was presented before the doctors with recurrent left-sided weakness termed Paralysis in simple medical terminology.

“Imaging with stroke protocol showed multiple Ischemic infarcts in the right MCA territory while MR Angio carotid doppler showed right internal carotid artery 70% blockade with plaque rupture.”

It was a complicated case but the doctors managed to handle it. Hospital authorities said that in order to prevent massive life-threatening stroke, the patient was advised carotid Angioplasty and stenting.

“Carotid Angioplasty plus stenting were performed safely. During the procedure, a Distal protection filter device was used to prevent distal cerebral embolization.”

After the successful procedure, the patient recovered and became asymptomatic and was discharged after 2 days of monetarizing and observation.
