A policeman was found dead in a hotel in the Mehjoor Nagar area of Srinagar uptown on Thursday.
The cop has been identified as Shuja Ali, a resident of Lal Bazar area of Srinagar.
A Police Official confirmed to news agency Kashmir News Trust saying that the deceased cop was a best sports player.
He said an investigation has been started under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
