Burglars looted at least five shops in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, traders said.
The incidents occurred during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, they said.
The shops according to them were looted in Chudiyan Market, Muran Chowk, and Rajpora Chowk.
The traders said that burglars have not only looted goods worth lakhs but also damaged shutters and other stuff, besides stealing cash.
They said a laptop and a CCTV monitor has also been stolen. “We are assessing the quantum of loss,” they said adding that police have assured them of swift action.
Police sources said that an FIR has already been registered in this regard and an investigation taken up. [KNT]
