Pedestrians panic after mysterious blast in a car in Srinagar

A mysterious car blast on picturesque Boulevard road of Srinagar city created panic among people.

The elderly couple boarding in the car, however, escaped unhurt.

Police informed that a blast took place in the rear of a Honda city vehicle (JK01M-)0878 on Boulevard road.

An elderly couple from Kralsangri, Nishat was in the vehicle. “Both are safe and sound,” police said.

Police added that prima facie it seems that some equipment failure caused the blast. [KNT]
