Faulty drainage inundates houses, lanes in Srinagar outskirts

Residents of Zaffar Colony Natipora here in Srinagar outskirts have appealed to authorities to overhaul the faulty drainage system which leads to inundation after every spell of rainfall.

The locals said that the drainage system taken care of last year gets blocked very often due to which adjacent lanes and by-lanes are flooded with rainwater.

Musadiq Rasool, a local resident of Zaffar Colony Natipora told Kashmir News Trust that people face immense problems due to waterlogging which is there because of faulty drainage system.

The locals appealed to authorities especially Srinagar Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Mayor to look into the matter and address the problem on a priority basis. [KNT]
