Compassionate appointment cases in Health Sector: Inquiry ordered to find cause of delay

The government has constituted a committee to fix the responsibility for the negligent approach with regard to compassionate appointment cases in Health Sector.

The tenure of the incumbent Director Health Services, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather has seen no progress in disposing of genuine compassionate appointment cases.

Secretary to the Government Health & Medical Education Department, Bhupinder Kumar has issued an order vis-à-vis lackadaisical approach of the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir in disposing of genuine cases covered under SRO-43 of 1994 and has ordered a time-bound inquiry.

The order reads that sanction is, hereby, accorded to the constitution of a committee to enquire into the delay in submission of compassionate appointment cases of the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir and to fix the responsibility for causing delay.

The 3 Committee members as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust are Muhammad Abdullah Wagay, Under Secretary to Government, Health & Medical Education Department,  Amir Rashid, Head Assistant, Health & Medical Education Department and  Ishfaq Abdullah, Senior Assistant, Health & Medical Education Department.

The committee shall submit its report within a period of 15 days. [KNT]
