The family of incarcerated leader Abdul Samad Inqalabi has appealed to the government of India to release him on medical and humanitarian grounds.
Inqalabi has been lodged in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi Central Jail.
Muhammad Yousuf, the brother of Abdul Samad Inqalabi while talking to the news agency Kashmir News Trust appealed to authorities to release Inqalabi on humanitarian grounds.
“My brother who was released after spending years in different prisons was re-arrested in April 2022 and later was shifted to Varanasi Jail from Kot Bhalwal Jammu. We appeal to authorities to release him on humanitarian grounds,” he said adding that the health of his brother has deteriorated in the Varanasi Jail. [KNT]
