Thieves stole taps from Hajj House located in Bemina area of Srinagar in broad daylight on Monday.

A couple of employees from the Hajj House told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the incident came to light around late noon hours when the sound of running water was heard by them.

They said all the costly taps in the bathrooms have been stolen by unknown burglars.

“This is the first such incident of this nature in the Hajj House and probably it is the handiwork of ‘drug addicts,” said an employee adding that CCTV footage is being observed.

Hajj Officer while confirming the incident said that a report has been registered in the police station. (KNT)
