A man has died while seven people sustained injuries in two different Budgam road accidents on Monday.

In one of the accidents father-son duo from Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was injured when the Tata-Mobile (JK16-2296), they were traveling in skidded off the road near Baji Pathra Charar-e-Sharif area of Budgam. Among the father-son duo, the son who was driving the vehicle succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as 30-year-old Khurshid Ahmed Mir, a resident of Guzhama village of Ganderbal. His father Abdul Hamid Mir is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Police sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the Tata-Mobile was carrying dry-grass towards Banjer Charar-e-Sharif area.

In another road accident, six people including two brothers and a father-son duo were injured when the Tata-Mobile (JK04B-9945), they were traveling in skidded off the road near Khee Gund Chadoora area of Budgam.

All the injured have been shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar from CHC Nagam. They have been identified as Shakeel Ahmad Dar and his son Haroon Ahmed, Ishfaq Ahmad Dar, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Farooq Ahmed Mir and his brother Zahoor Ahmad Mir, all residents of Brinjan Chadoora. [KNT]
