Scores of employees posted at offices and veterinaries for decades without any transfer have hit the work culture of the Animal Husbandry Department in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The department has not transferred these Assistants and Clerks from decades in the district resulting in nepotism and bad work culture.
Reliable sources said that a junior assistant is posted at Chief Animal Husbandry Office in Pulwama for the last 10 years without being transferred to any other location.
They said that a Junior Assistant is posted at Chief Animal Husbandry Office, Pulwama since his appointment in 2012 and given the fact he has not been transferred even once, the said employee has started treating the office as his fiefdom.
“He is only shifting his pay from one Section to another to give the impression that he is transferred, but is working in the same office since his joining date,” sources said.
Sources added that there are dozens of other employees who have been posted at a single location since their appointment.
“A major reshuffle of these employees is needed to save the department from further deterioration and bring back work culture to save animals and for better delivery of service in the sector,” they said.
Senior officials said that the department at the directorate level is planning to transfer these employees who have prolonged stays to restore the work culture in the Pulwama district. (KNT)
