A non-local painter was found hanging in his rented room in Kashmir capital Srinagar.
Official sources said that a 25-year-old non-local labourer who was working as a painter was found hanging in his rented room in Galwanpora area of Hyderpora. He was shifted to JVC Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The victim has been identified as Shahjahan Sheikh son of Tanveer Alam, a native of Bihar.
Police in this regard have initiated proceedings under 174 CrPC. (KNT)
