JDU president Shaheen interacts with J&K LG Manoj Sinha

President, J&K Unit of Janata Dal United (JDU) G M Shaheen on Wednesday met Lieutenant Governor (LG), Manoj Sinah after he received a call from the Raj Bhavan.
Shaheen discussed with the Lt Governor about various issues of public importance pertaining to the development of tourism sector, employment generation, release of pending payments under MGNREGA, Daily Rated Workers, rehabilitation of surrender militants etc. He further drew Lt Governor’s attention towards welfare of daily rated workers.
Shaheen also shared his views about the development scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed hope towards the present Government to meet the developmental needs of the people of J&K.
While talking to news agency Kashmir News Trust, Shaheen said that LG assured that a policy will be devised for the rehabilitation of surrendered militants and steps will be taken to ensure they get visas and passports so that they can earn a living in foreign countries.
Shaheen further said that LG assured that this winter there will be no power curtailment in Kashmir Valley and the administration will try its level best to ensure regular power supply. (KNT)
