Bear attacks Govt employee in North Kashmir

A government employee sustained critical injuries after attacked by a wild bear in Qaziabad Langate area of North Kashmir’s Handwara town.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust.


They said a government employee working in PHE Department had ventured out of his house and was attacked by a bear resulting in his injuries.

The victim identified as Khazar Muhammad of Darbal Qaziabad has been shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Pertinently, a middle aged-man was critically injured in a bear attack in Dard Wooder area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district yesterday late evening. (KNT)
