Over 4,000 Yatris moved to safe locations after heavy rains around holy cave

Over 4,000 Amarnath pilgrims were shifted to Panjtarni after heavy rains triggered flash floods around the holy cave, officials said.
Official sources said that rains in the lofty mountains around the holy Amarnath Cave triggered a flash flood at around 3 on Tuesday.
Due to the rains, authorities sounded alert and shifted over 4,000 yatris to Panjtarni. Sources added that the situation is under control and Yatris are moving towards safe locations.
Over a dozen Yatris died earlier after rains triggered a flash flood around the holy cave. (KNT)
