The 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu R. K. Sapru on Monday granted interim Bail to Shoaib Nabi Lone, Ex. MLA Sangrama and District President Apni Party (Baramulla) in an FIR registered against him at Crime Branch, Jammu in the year 2019 under Sections 420 and 120-B RPC.
The said FIR was registered on the complaint of one Harmeet Singh Sasan, one of the directors of M/s Alpine Fresh Private Limited in which accused Shoaib Nabi Lone is also one of the founding Directors.
Sasan has alleged in his complaint that Shoaib Nabi Lone in league with one Company Secretary illegally deleted the name of Sasan and his wife as Directors of the Company who were also the Directors/Shareholders of the said company. It is further alleged in the FIR that Harmeet Singh Sasan was having 65000 Shares whereas his wife was having 5000 Shares in the said company and the accused Ex-MLA in league with the Company Secretary reduced their Shares to Zero, thereby causing a loss worth Crores to the complainant as well as the company.
The former legislator was arrested by the Crime Branch, Jammu on July 19, 2022, and the bail application was moved in which Senior Advocate Pranav Kohli with Advocate Aftab Malik made detailed submissions for enlarging the accused to bail whereas Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed with Sheikh Najeeb Ashraf represented the complainant Harmeet Singh Sasan and Public Prosecutor D. P. Singh appeared for Crime Branch, Jammu.
After hearing both sides at length, the Court of 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu enlarged the former MLA to interim bail. (KNT)
