Trooper injured in ‘hit and run’ incident, police register case

Srinagar: Police have registered a case against an unknown driver who fled away from the spot after hitting a trooper with his vehicle in uptown Srinagar.

The hit and run incident occurred on Tuesday late evening at Hyderpora Srinagar.

Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that an unknown Muruti-800 hit and injured a CRPF Head Constable at Hyderpora Check-Point that falls under the jurisdiction of police station Saddar.

The injured trooper identified as Raju Das of 25 Battalion CRPF has been undergoing treatment at BSF Hospital in Humhama.

A formal case has been registered against the unknown driver. (KNT)
