Budgam: Police arrest trio including National Conference Panch for possessing contraband drugs and heroin-like substance in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Police sources identified the accused as Suja Abbas of Waterwani, Shahid Ali Rather of Khomani Chowk and Barkat Ali Allaie, a resident of Labertral Budgam.
One of the accused Suja Abbas is a Panch affiliated with National Conference.

Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the accused were arrested on the day of Eid. They said contraband substances including 350 tablets of Alprazolam and heroin were recovered from their possession.
These arrests were made at Dedina Check Point of Budgam.
A case vide FIR number 130/2022 under section 8/21-22 NDPS Act has been registered against them at police station Budgam. (KNT)
