Srinagar: Inhabitants of Barbarshah and Samandar Bagh areas of Srinagar city Wednesday appealed to the district administration to axe the banned female species of Russian poplar trees which have been a continuous source of nuisance for them.
The inhabitants told news agency Kashmir News Trust that majority of the people have been suffering from allergies due to harmful pollens.
“Last year we had made a fervent appeal to the administration but nothing was done. We have been suffering from allergies in eyes, throat and nose due to the pollens,” they said adding that persistent sneezing has become a common feature.
The inhabitants appealed to the administration especially Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to axe these hazardous pollen trees. (KNT)
