Srinagar: One among the two troopers injured in a militant attack in Maisuma locality succumbed to his injuries
Police sources said that militants fired upon a deployment party resulting in the injuries of two troopers. Both the troopers were shifted to the hospital where one among them succumbed to his injuries.
The slain trooper has been identified as Head Constable Vishal Kumar of 132 Battalion. The condition of injured officer Assistant Sub-Inspector Niranjan Singh is stated to be stable.
Police and troopers rushed to the spot and launched a search operation after the incident, however, no arrests were made. (KNT)
