Srinagar: Family is still waiting for the body of a young man from Kashmir Valley who died in mysterious circumstances in Saudi Arabia.
Imran Ahmed Sheikh, (25) a resident of Nehalpora Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district had been working in a hotel in Saudi Arabia. He was found dead at his workplace while Saudi police in this regard have registered a case and probed the incident.
J&K Students Association in a statement informed that it has written to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, seeking his help in bringing back the mortal remains of the young man.
“The cause of death is not known yet and there are multiple conflicting versions. But as per his family, Saudi Police have taken his body for post-mortem and is also ascertaining the exact cause of death, probing & checking the CCTV footage around his workplace,” the Association quoting family sources said.
The Association appealed to LG to take immediate steps and pursue this matter with the Ministry of External Affairs to help in airlifting the mortal remains of the deceased back to Kashmir. (KNT)
