3 soldiers, civilian injured in ongoing Baramulla encounter

Baramulla: Three soldiers and a civilian were hospitalized after suffering from injuries during an exchange of fire between militants and Joint Forces in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The gunfight broke out in Malwah area of the district after inputs were provided by the Budgam police that militants are present in the hamlet.

There was an exchange of fire, leading to the injuries of three soldiers and a civilian.

Police quoted IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar saying that in the initial exchange of fire three soldiers and a civilian sustained minor injuries.

The encounter was underway till the filing of this report. (KNT)
