Two brothers one among them driver die in Ganderbal tractor accident

 

Ganderbal: A tractor accident claimed the lives of two brothers including a minor in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said on Tuesday.

The unfortunate incident sent the family and native village of the victims into a state of shock and desperation.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that 19-year-old Rameez Ahmed Dar was driving a tractor himself while his 9-year-old minor brother Sahil Ahmed Dar was seated next to him.

A loaded trolley was attached to the tractor. Rameez (driver) lost control over the tractor near Sama Mohallah Shallabugh area falling under the jurisdiction of Khir Bhawani Police Station. It skidded off the road and fell from a height, leaving both the brothers critically injured.

Some locals after witnessing the occurrence, dragged them out, taking both to nearby Pirpora Primary Health Centre where doctors referred them to District Hospital Ganderbal.

Both the brothers succumbed in the hospital.

The tractor has suffered damage in the accident. (KNT)
