Srinagar: A minor girl from Srinagar outskirts died in a highway road accident on Thursday.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a vehicle (JK18B-6101) met with an accident at Chersoo area of Awantipora on Srinagar-Anantnag highway in which a minor girl sustained critical injuries.
The girl identified as Tauba Jan daughter of Abdul Majid Sheikh of Soura Srinagar succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Police took cognizance of the incident and registered a formal case. (KNT)
