Srinagar fire incident: Middle-aged man succumbs, Toll 2,  

Srinagar: A middle-aged man who had suffered burn injuries in a fire incident in old Srinagar city succumbed to his injuries at a hospital after battling for life for over two weeks. With this death, the toll touched two, as earlier a lady had died in the same fire incident due to severe burn injuries.

Pertinently, in a devastating fire incident at Jamalata area of Srinagar city last month on 20 January, at least 4 residential houses were gutted. In this incident, a woman was killed while three others had sustained burn injuries.
One of the injured identified as Abdul Majeed Gojri, a resident of Karfali Mohalla Habakadal, who was presently living in Jamalata succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Hospital Srinagar.

Hospital sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Gojri (46) had sustained serious head injuries after an LPG cylinder had gone off during a rescue operation. (KNT)
