Ganderbal: Police shift ailing patient to hospital in time, save his life

Ganderbal: Police in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal saved a human life by shifting an ailing patient to the hospital in the nick of time, a move widely appreciated by people.

Police said that at about 11:30 PM on Wednesday, SHO Police Station Lar Gulzar Ahmad received a distressed phone call from the upper reaches of Lar Waliwar village in which the caller mentioned that a person namely Shahnawaz Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Rashid Khan, a resident of Waliwar is suffering from some severe illness and needs help to shift him to the nearby hospital.

As no vehicle was able to ply on the road due to slippery conditions, amid heavy snowfall in the area, the family was unable to shift the patient to the hospital.

However, SHO Police Station Lar along with Police Party reached on the spot and took the ailing person on the shoulders up to the vehicle and shifted him to PHC Lar for treatment.

People particularly the medical staff from PHC Lar appreciated the police for admitting the patient in time and thus saving his life. (KNT)
