Death of MC employee: Inquiry team constituted, 4 Medical Officers suspended
Pulwama: Amid the suspension of four employees, the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has constituted an inquiry team to probe the death of an employee in District Hospital Pulwama.
Pertinently, a day before a Class 4th employee identified as Muhammad Hussain Hafiz had suffered a heart attack while those accompanying him had alleged that the said employee died as doctors were absent from the hospital. His death had sparked the protest.
Traders, as well as Municipal Councilors today staged a protest in front of the hospital demanding a probe into the death of a Class 4th employee of the Municipal Committee.
Taking cognizance of the incident, Driector Health Services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather has ordered for the constitution of 4 member inquiry team of divisional level officers and directed it to report the factual report within two days.
The 4 member inquiry team comprises Deputy Director Dentistry Dr Janzaib Tanki, Assistant Director Dr Kounsar Amin, Consultant Medicine JLNM Hospital Srinagar Dr Nisar Shamus and Senior Assistant Directorate of Health Services Kashmir Hamid Sultan.
Till the factual report is submitted, Director Health has suspended four Medical Officers of District Hospital Pulwama. They include Dr Hilal Ahmed, Dr Gulzaar Ahmed, Dr Adfer Nafie and Dr Muhammad Ashraf. (KNT)
