After Karnataka, now Punjab colleges seek details from Kashmiri students

Punjab: After Bangaluru in Karnataka, over 200 colleges affiliated with Punjab University have started profiling Kashmiri students.

Hundreds of Kashmiri students are studying in different colleges of Punjab and Chandigarh.

Jammu Kashmir Students Association, National Spokesperson, Nasir Khuehami informed news agency Kashmir News Trust that Kashmiri students are being directed to provide their personal details in Punjab and Chandigarh colleges. “They have been asked to provide their present and permanent address, cell number, e.mail along with details of courses, which is very unfortunate,” he said.

Jammu Kashmir Students Association has vehemently appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab to stop the practice of targeting Kashmiri students. (KNT)
