Srinagar: In response to Jammu and Kashmir’s Bank’s recent statement in which the Bank refuted the claim that it has appointed 950 people from outside J&K, Janata Dal United (JDU) today clarified that it had no intention to defame or degrade the premier institution like JK Bank which is the back bone of Jammu Kashmir’s economy.
JDU president for Jammu and Kashmir, GM Shaheen in a statement said that Jammu and Kashmir Bank is an asset of people of Jammu and Kashmir and it is their own bank.
“The party’s intention was never to defame or devalue J&K Bank. The statement with regard to the appointment of outsiders in J&K Bank was erroneous and mere a human error. The appointments have taken place but in another bank. We regret the error and inconvenience caused to the top brass of the JK Bank,” the statement reads.
JDU reiterates that it has no grudge against JK Bank and it believes that it is the bank of people that not only helps in employment generation but boosting of economy as well. (Statement)
