Traders in Budgam can be seen putting their goods on display on roadside along their shops that leads to massive traffic jams. Besides, public transport in the district disappears from roads shortly after sun set, much discomfort to the general public.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that in a bid to address the grievances of the general public, police in Budgam held a meeting with traders and transporters.

They said traders and transporters were apprised about the issues confronting people. Transporters were asked to ply till late evening on the roads while shopkeepers were directed to refrain from putting their merchandize on show.
