North Kashmir: Police register case after cell phones worth lakhs stolen from shop

KUPWARA: Police registered a case after burglars alleged looted cell-phones and accessories worth lakhs of rupees from a mobile shop in Kralpora area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that one Gowhar Ahmed Tanzoo, a resident of Kralpora Kupwara, who runs a shop namely ‘Gowhar Electronics’ reported at police station Kralpora claiming that unknown persons during the intervening night looted mobile phones from his shop worth Rs 7 to 8 lakhs.

The shop is located at Kralpora main market.

Taking cognizance of the complaint, police registered a case and set investigation into motion.

President Beopar Mandal Kupwara expressed anguish over the frequent incidents of theft and appealed police to nab the burglars. (KNT)
