North Kashmir: Leopard attacks 3-year old child outside his house

BANDIPORA: A leopard attacked a 3-year-old child near his house in North Kashmir’s Bandipora village, leaving him critically injured.

The incident occurred at Dodhwan SK Bala area of Sumbal on late Thursday evening.

Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that 3-year old child identified as Arhan Shabir Rahter had ventured out from his house, when a leopard attacked him. The hue and cry raised by the child attracted the attention of people who chased away the leopard.

The child was taken to local hospital where doctors referred him to SMHS hospital Srinagar for treatment. (KNT)
