SRINAGAR: In a fatal road accident here in Srinagar outskirts, three persons died on spot when a Scooty collided with Wagon-R.
The accident occurred in Panzinara area of Srinagar outskirts while the three persons who died in the accident were also the residents of Panzinara area.
The killing of the three young men sent shockwaves while the whole area mourned these sudden deaths.
“Speeding Wagon-R (JK05E-1226) and a Scooty collided with each other. The rider and the two pillion riders died on the spot. The Scooty and the Wagon-R suffered extensive damage,” an eyewitness told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
Police rushed spot to assess the situation. After the completion of medico-legal formalities, the dead bodies were handed over to the families.
Witnesses said that driver the Wagon-R also sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. “The damaged Scooty and the Wagon-R have been seized by the police and a case has been registered in this regard,” a police official said.
He identified the deceased as Sameer Ahmad Dar, Shahid Fayaz Dar and Mushtaq Ahmad Malik – all residents of Panzinara. (KNT)
