Bukhari asks people and workers to file petitions before Delimitation Commission

SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party Saturday appealed people and workers to file their petitions before the Delimitation Commission which is visiting Srinagar and Jammu shortly.

While talking to reporters, Syed Altaf Bukhari said that Delimitation was due for Jammu and Kashmir in 2026.

“In recent meeting held in New Delhi, we asked the Home Minister can’t we hold elections without this delimitation process, but the Home Minister said that seat ratio is increasing and it can’t be postponed and will be held on the pattern of Assam where Delimitation process has also not been postponed,” Bukhari as per news agency Kashmir News Trust said.

Bukari requested people and his party workers to meet the Delimitatin Commission and present their point of view.

“We have also directed our party workers to file their petitions with the Commission. Our senior party leaders both from Srinagar and Jammu will meet the Commission,” he said adding that they will try to project the ground reality and will thrust on what needs to be done. (KNT)
