Row over reducing time duration of online classes: Directorate directs officials to implement orders in letter and spirit, take complaints against Private Schools seriously

The order comes barely a day after the Private Schools Association criticized the government for reducing the duration of online classes.

SRINAGAR: Directorate of School Education Kashmir has asked Chief Education Officer of every Kashmir district to take the complaints against Private Educational Institutions seriously and implement all the orders issued by the government in letter and spirit with regard to complaints against the Private Educational Institutions.

The order comes barely a day after the Private Schools Association criticized the government for reducing the duration of online classes.

“Chief Education Officers are once again instructed to ensure implementation/strict adherence of the orders issued from time to time in letter and spirit and also get the complaints; lodged against the Private schools, redressed in the Special Cells constituted for redressal of grievances of the complainant in the time bound manner,” reads an order issued by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir.

The circular as per KNT reads that it came into the notice of the Directorate that the Private Educational Institutions are not implementing the orders passed by the Administrative Department as well as Fee Fixation Committee and also no Special Cells in the Districts have been constituted till date resulting into the non-submission of monitoring report as were required.

The order lays stress on the strict implementation of the guidelines issued by the  Administrative Department regarding conduct of virtual classes in Jammu and Kashmir during lock down period.

The concerned Chief Education Officers have been instructed to ensure implementation or strict adherence of the orders issued from time to time in letter and spirit and also get the complaints; lodged against the Private schools, redressed in the Special Cells constituted for redressal of grievances of the complainant in the time bound manner.
