ED summons Mehbooba’s mother for questioning ‘NIA, ED tools to settle scores: Mehbooa Mufti

SRINAGAR: Enforcement Directorate has called PDP President Mehbooba Mufti for questioning in alleged money laundering case.
The notices from ED were served to the mother of Mehbooba Mufti shortly after PDP decided to stay away from the proceedings of the Delimitation Commission.

The Enforcement Directorate has asked Mehbooba’s mother to appear at the agency’s office in Raj Bagh Srinagar on July 14 in connection with a money laundering case.

Mehbooba Mufti shared the notice from ED on Twitter and wrote: “On the day PDP chose not to meet Delimitation Commission, ED sent a summon to my mother to appear in person for unknown charges. In its attempts to intimidate political opponents, GOI doesn’t even spare senior citizens. Agencies like NIA & ED are now its tools to settle scores.”

According to the notice, posted by Mehbooba on her official Twitter account, her mother Gulshan Nazir has been asked to appear before the central probe agency at its office in Srinagar. (KNT)
