
Srinagar, Apr 25, KNT: In a decisive move to reassure students and businesspersons from Jammu & Kashmir residing in various parts of India, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has directed the deployment of Cabinet Ministers to key cities across the country. This initiative comes in the wake of recent incidents, with the aim to reinforce security and provide a sense of assurance to those facing distress or insecurity.
The senior representatives of the Jammu & Kashmir Government will coordinate closely with their counterparts in the respective State Governments. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of J&K residents currently living outside the state, addressing concerns sparked by recent developments.
In a statement shared via social media platform X, the Chief Minister expressed his commitment to the welfare of J&K residents: “With a view to instilling a sense of security among our students and businessmen currently in other states, I have deputed my Cabinet Ministers to various cities across the country. The purpose of these visits is to coordinate efforts with the respective State Governments and ensure the safety and well-being of J&K residents.”
Reaffirming the administration’s unwavering commitment, Omar Abdullah emphasized, “The J&K Government will stand with its people—anywhere, everywhere.” This declaration highlights the government’s dedication to its citizens, irrespective of their location, especially during challenging times.
