
In the aftermath of the deadly Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi arrived in Kashmir on Friday to take stock of the security scenario, according to official sources.
He was accompanied by the Army Commander of Northern Command, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar. The visit is aimed at conducting a thorough evaluation of the current security landscape across Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said General Dwivedi will be given a detailed briefing by top Army commanders regarding the situation on the ground and the measures initiated since Tuesday’s tragic incident.
