Aga Syed Hasan Felicitates AIKS President for Promoting Interfaith Harmony in Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 11, KNT: In a gesture highlighting the spirit of communal harmony, Anjuman-e-Shia Sherian religious leader Aga Syed Hasan Al Safvi Al Mosvi felicitated Ravinder Pandita, President of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), for his significant efforts in promoting peace and interfaith dialogue in the Kashmir Valley.
The felicitation took place during a gathering aimed at fostering communal amity, where Pandita was honoured for his active role in the annual interfaith dialogue initiative organized by the religious body. On the occasion, Aga Hasan presented a newly released book on interfaith dialogue to Pandita, who also heads the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir Regd.
Prominent speaker and debater Muntazir Mehdi, along with other dignitaries, were also present.
Speaking at the event, Ravinder Pandita underlined the importance of such platforms in building mutual trust and called upon the majority community to play a proactive role in enabling the return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland.
“We look forward to more such dialogues which can build confidence and pave the way for the rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandit community. The onus lies on the majority community to accommodate minorities in this Muslim-majority region,” he said.
