Five Injured in Road Accident at Sangla Chowk, One Referred to GMC Rajouri

Poonch, Mar 15, KNT: At least five people, including four women, sustained injuries in a road accident at Sangla Chowk in Poonch district on Saturday.

According to officials, an ECO vehicle bearing registration number JK11E7782 was traveling from Rajouri towards Mendhar when the driver lost control, leading to the accident.

The injured were immediately shifted to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) for treatment. However, one of them was later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for advanced medical care, reports said.

The injured have been identified as Muhammad Basharat (65), Safeera Begum (65), Jamshad Begum (65), Maqdoom Akhter (45), and Shagufta Parveen (48).

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings.
