Kangan Police Counsel Youth Against Posting Dangerous Social Media Content
Srinagar, Feb 1, KNT: Police in Kangan took swift action to counsel a youth from the Chattergul area after he was found uploading potentially hazardous content on social media. Concerned about the impact of such content, Police Station Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal intervened to prevent any potential harm to him or others.
SHO Kangan Manzoor Ahmad told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the youth had shared a video in which he was seen entering a hamam full of fire. Fearing that such stunts could influence others, the police called him in for counseling. “We were concerned that other young people might imitate this dangerous act. We advised him against such behavior and emphasized the risks involved,” he said.
The youth acknowledged the concerns raised by the police, assured them that he would refrain from posting hazardous content, and pledged not to engage in any activities that could endanger himself or society.
The police action has been widely appreciated by social media users, who commended the authorities for taking a preventive approach to ensure public safety. [KNT]
