Khyber Cement Unveils 2025 Calendar Celebrating the Evolution of Kashmiri Architecture

Srinagar, January 11, 2025 – Khyber Cement launched its much-anticipated 2025 calendar at a special event in its Hyderpora office, with Hamida Akhter as the chief guest. Themed The Evolution of Kashmiri Architecture, the calendar highlights the region’s architectural journey, tracing its transformation from traditional heritage structures to modern-day designs.

Building on the success of last year’s Bridges of Jammu & Kashmir theme, this year’s calendar delves into the intricacies of Kashmiri architecture, reflecting Khyber Cement’s philosophy of creating enduring structures, much like its commitment to building infrastructure that lasts for generations.

Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Head of Commercials Legal & Regulatory Affairs, shared that the calendar is more than a visual collection—it’s a reflection of the company’s cultural pride. “At Khyber Cement, we honor the traditions that inspire us, even as we shape the future of construction in Kashmir,” he stated.

Wasim Khan, Chief of Sales & Customer Relations, emphasized that Kashmiri architecture showcases the skill and resilience of the region’s people. The calendar aims to preserve this heritage while contributing to modern infrastructure.

Hamida Akhter, General Manager of the District Industries Center, praised the initiative, noting that Kashmiri architecture is a testament to the region’s history and creativity. “This calendar is a tribute to our past, while highlighting how our heritage continues to inspire innovation,” she said.

The calendar features architectural masterpieces, beginning with Burzahama in January, followed by the Martand Sun Temple, Jama Masjid, Shalimar Gardens, and modern structures like Amar Singh College and The Greystone, illustrating the seamless fusion of tradition and contemporary design.

The event was celebrated for blending cultural appreciation with modern construction, marking a significant milestone in Khyber Cement’s legacy and its future vision.
