Notorious Narcotic Dealer’s Rs 1 Crore Property Attached in Kulgam

Kulgam, Nov 19, KNT:  Kulgam Police has attached a double-storied residential house worth over Rs 1 crore belonging to notorious drug peddler Mohd Ashraf Bhat, police said on Tuesday.

The property, located in Rehpora Khudwani, Kulgam, was seized under Section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act, 1985, after investigations revealed it was acquired through illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

Bhat, currently lodged at Central Jail Kupwara, is accused in Case FIR number 43/2023 of Police Station Qazigund.

The local community has welcomed the police initiative, recognizing the impact of attaching immovable properties acquired through illicit means. [KNT]
