Anti Narcotics Task Force arrests notorious drug peddler in Jammu
Jammu, Nov 9, KNT: The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) apprehended a notorious drug peddler, and recovered a commercial quantity of contraband from his possession near ISBT Narwal area of Jammu.
The accused has been identified as Vishal Sharma, son of Yashpal Sharma, a resident of Vikas Nagar, Old Janipur, Jammu.
The operation was carried out by a team from ANTF Jammu, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Tanweer Ahmed, under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and an investigation is underway, police said.
The ANTF Jammu has appealed to the public to come forward with any information related to drugs, to help eradicate this menace from society and protect the young generation. [KNT]
