Uri will reject BJP’s ‘proxy’ Taj Mohiuddin, says NC candidate
Boniyar, Sep 10, KNT: In a scathing attack, National Conference candidate for Uri Assembly segment Dr. Sajjad Shafi Uri, has blown the lid off Taj Mohiuddin’s alleged ties with the BJP, calling him a “proxy” of the saffron party.
Addressing a press conference at NC Office Boniyar, Sajjad Uri accused Taj Mohiuddin, an independent candidate contesting from Uri, of being backed by the BJP, citing his recent meeting with Altaf Bukhari and a two-day visit to Delhi.
“The people of Uri are not naive; we know who is behind Taj Mohiuddin’s candidacy. He is a mere puppet of the BJP and RSS,” Dr. Sajjad asserted, vowing that the public would not allow anyone with ties to the saffron party to represent them.
Dr. Sajjad as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust questioned Taj Mohiuddin’s silence on his Delhi visit and his meeting with Altaf Bukhari, demanding answers on who facilitated the alliance.
With the BJP announcing support for independent candidates in Kashmir, Dr. Sajjad hoped that the voters would give “tough times” to such forces and keep them at bay. [KNT]
